Folks, it's finally here. The LAST CHAPTER of The Most Epic Trip Ever is up. Thanks for sticking with me on this journey. Now, who am I to keep you waiting? I present to you Chapter 10: Our Trip Comes to an End.

I cannot tell you the relief I felt once we reached the United States of America. Oh, of course, the expedition had been awesome, but I truly missed the US. I’m pretty sure every girl on the voyage honestly wanted to return home after our long boat ride.
“Welcome back to the United States of America!” Nora’s voice crackled over the intercom. “Please make sure you gather your luggage/personal belongings because we’ll be arriving in AZ before you know it. Also, The Fangirl Express does not have a lost-and-found, so anything left behind automatically becomes the property of the Erickson-Raftery sisters. Thank you!”
I walked over to the back of the bus, grabbed my backpack, and plopped myself back down in my seat. Pulling out my phone, I thumbed through the pictures I’d taken. I smiled at the photos of the Keeper Crew and me just being absolute goofballs with my camera’s filters.
Bella peered over my shoulder. “Hey, Rebecca, whatcha looking at?”
“Oh, nothing, just some pics I took of our expedition. Most of them are the KotLC gang and me having way too much fun with filters.”
Bella cracked up. “OK, yeah, you guys were definitely having way too much fun.”
I laughed. “You ready to head back home, Bella?”
“Sort of. This has been amazing! But believe it or not, I actually miss my sisters. And I miss the rest of my family too.”
“I just miss home in general. I’m caught between being glad that our trip is over and being sad that it’s all over, you know.”
We continued the long trip back home in silence. Minutes passed, then hours. Then days. Suddenly, as we were traveling along, I noticed a road sign that gave me enough fuel to make it through the end. It wasn’t anything special. All it read was “Welcome to Arizona!”. But it let me know that we’d reached the final leg.
Nora broke the news to the rest of us. “Girls, we are now in the state of Arizona! If you haven’t already, please, please, pleeeaaaase grab your personal belongings and text your folks. If you don’t have a phone, just borrow someone else’s, ’kay? Anyway, now sit back and jam out to some Disney!”
As soon as she’d finished speaking, “A Whole New World” from the 1992 Aladdin blasted from the speakers. We sang/screamed along to every Disney song ever composed the entire drive to our homes.
First stop was Bella’s. She waved goodbye before turning around and entering her home. Then we reached Erm’s place, then Catiana’s. At last, the bus pulled up in front of my home.
“Well, you’re the last one, Rebecca,” Elyna observed.
“Yeah, I know. It’s sad that it’s over, but I’m just glad to be home. Thanks, girls, for everything. Bye!”
I turned around and walked into my house, cherishing all my memories of the most epic trip ever.
