Hello again, lovely readers! Erin here. Don’t you just love that sappy romantic character who is sweet and sickeningly perfect?
Well, here are…
Rules for Writing the Love Interest by Leah N. Bix!

5 simple rules for being the love interest! Whether you know it or not, the MC is going to fall in love with you, and here are five guidelines to follow to make that happen!
(CW: a little romance… duh XD)
You must be ‘sort of cute’ at the beginning, and then become like ultra-attractive in the later part of the story. Oh but you can’t care at all about your appearance!
Artsy. You absolutely and completely HAVE TO BE artsy. If you’re a guy that means pictures. Painting, drawing, that sort of thing. And ladies… that probably means origami or some form of abstract art that you’d NEVER tell ANYONE about because you think it’s silly. …until the MC finds out about it
YOU ARE PERFECT. You have everything together and you are just the sweetest human ever to the MC. Sure, they’re super annoying and they have unacceptable flaws that you should view as a red flag, but you won’t care! You just ‘love them more’ for all their flaws.
Your parents are rich. No question about it. They are rich and popular… and are probably not the nicest. They may even hate the protagonist! The love of your life! Imagine that!
You are the initiator! Doesn’t matter if you’re the girl in the situation, you are the one to get this relationship rolling! You are the one to be clingy and sweet when the MC is visibly pushing away the thought of love! Oh and most likely you’re also SUPER hesitant to share your feelings… but you still have to be the one to initiate *nods*
And that’s it! Here’s your roadmap to a probably unhealthy relationship starter pack… but somehow it’s going to end up all beautiful with an epilogue about your perfect future!
Leah N. Bix is a fourteen-year-old young writer with an avid love of all things imaginary. Ever since she was a little girl turning hollow tree stumps into a dragon lair that led to her secret library, stories have always been at the forefront of her mind. Now instead of dragon lairs, she fuels her imagination with writing which she hopes will bring honor to God through Biblical, practical themes and fantastical story-telling.

Isn’t that simply perfect? It literally sums up all fictitious romantic relationships. I’m serious. Especially number 4. But in the end, the parents end up loving the protagonist and approve the marriage.
