Five Rules For Being a Female Protagonist
I’ve seen like…every human on YDubs doing this so…here’s my attempt.
You are totally unlike everyone else on this earth. Either you’re dreamy and creative and introverted and have no friends, or you’re incredibly confident, cold-hearted (or so you seem…) and practical. And have no friends. Or you’re happy and spunky and extroverted, but also have no friends. You can pick.
You know how I said you have no friends? You also have to have friends. One friend. Who’s a guy. Who you almost never get the chance to talk to so it feels like you have no friends.
And…you have to fall in love with him. Or him fall in love with you and you just not care. But you need to wait a really long time for either of those things to happen.
You’re really good at something, or have some trait that makes some things really easy for you. But there also have to be like…totally normal things you’re terrible at.
Okay. We actually have three rule number fives. But you have to choose one. Choose wisely…
You’re TOTALLY PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. But not really. Everybody tells you that you are, and you must at some point learn to believe them (even though you’re probably the least perfect person in the story)…but in the meantime, you’re self-confidence is nonexistent.
You have a younger sibling. Preferably a brother, but it can be a sister if you really want it to be. They’re young and innocent and can’t do anything for themself and you would do ANYTHING to protect them. You would DIE for them. But…you don’t get the chance. They die. And your cold heart melts into tears…
Arranged marriage. But you love someone else, and your betrothed is secretly evil. So obviously you don’t marry him. You marry the other guy, and save the world from the evil of…aRrAnGeD mArRiAgE!!!
Alright so…I tried. *hides in the corner*
Beatrice Sanders is a teenaged writer who lives in Tennessee with her family and two cats. The best parts of her day are spent reading and listening to music, and if she finds a book she enjoys, she will reread it at least five times. Her goal in life is to write stories that remind people of God’s glory and the beauty in His world, but she has a long way to go before becoming an experienced writer since she’s only been writing for a year. She writes poetry to express her own emotions or when she notices something beautiful.

Don’t you love this? How true is it!
Which rule number 5 did you choose and why? Comment below!
This is awesome! My favorite is the second rule number five. I can think of at least three books where the younger sibling meets his or her end . . .🥺
