How to NOT Die— A Character’s Guide to Surviving Your Author.
Be very clumsy and cheerful. The wise and gloomy ones go first.
Be very charming but also annoying. But not too much. Do not become a love interest if you are such character.
Do not become a love interest in general.
Do not become a wise mentor.
Do not be the wise and gentle mother. You will always die.
Do have a good character voice that is fun to write.
Do be indispensable and hard to work with. The readers will cry more and the Author will be more afraid.
Suggestions on suing authors appreciated
Be a minor character.
Be an underdeveloped character.
Be the overly strong female character.
Do not be a parent.
Do not be loving and self-sacrificing. The loyal ones die very quickly.
Do not be the “little angel”. Think about it. The nice, “too good for this earth” ones always die first.
Be a rebel. Easiest way to stay alive.
Be a villain. Your author will resurrect you over and over so they don’t have to come up with a new villain.

Yes. The parents always die first. Remember the post Lenox Bozzelli did a few weeks back? And the overly strong female character always survives! Kitti Rann explained that a while back.
